Consider repairing your phone

If your phone is otherwise in good shape, a repair is usually the better value. A new screen or battery can make an older phone feel like a different phone. If the phone is very old, or needs several repairs, compare the repair quote with the price of a refurbished phone.

A cracked or unresponsive screen

A cracked screen is the repair we do most. Bring it in and we'll fit a new screen and test everything with you. A screen repair doesn't touch your data, and we don't reset the phone. A battery that doesn't last

Common signs are a phone that drains fast, shuts off with charge left, runs slowly, or shows "Service" or a figure below about 80% under Battery Health. We can check it for you in store. Read our guides to iPhone battery health and replacing or upgrading your iPhone battery.

Some newer iPhones show a message about the battery after any replacement done outside Apple. The battery works normally, and we explain what you may see before we start.

A phone that won't charge

Try a different cable and charger first, in case it's a faulty accessory. If it still won't charge, or the cable feels loose, bring it in and we'll check the charging port. A charging port repair takes about an hour.

A phone that's been in water

The first hours matter most. Switch the phone off, don't charge it, and skip the bag of rice, because rice doesn't dry the inside of a phone and can leave dust in the ports. Bring it in as soon as you can. We open it, clean and dry the board, and tell you honestly what can be saved and what it will cost before we go any further.

Water damage isn't always fixable, but acting quickly gives you the best chance of getting the phone and your photos back. Because water damage can keep causing problems, the warranty depends on what we repair, and we explain it before we start. See our tips to prevent water damage.

Back up your phone if you can. Most repairs don't touch your data, but a backup is a good habit before any repair.

Be ready to unlock it, so we can test the phone with you at the counter.
