Warranty Terms & Conditions – Fone4U
These Warranty Terms & Conditions are provided in addition to your statutory rights under
Irish consumer law. Nothing in this warranty limits or affects your legal rights.
1. Warranty Period
All phones sold by Fone4U include a standard 18-month warranty (started from
05/01/2026), unless
otherwise stated at the time of purchase
Certain components, including the battery, are covered for a period of 6 months, in line
with their expected lifespan
2. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers manufacturing defects that arise during normal and intended
use of the device.
3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not apply, and may be considered void, in cases involving:
- Physical damage, including cracked screens, dents, bent frames, or impact damage
- Liquid or water damage of any kind
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper handling
- Software issues, operating system faults, or user-installed applications
- Normal wear and tear, including gradual component degradation
- Damage resulting from unauthorised repairs or modifications
4. Repairs by Third Parties
- Any repair or modification carried out by a third party not authorised by Fone4U will
void the warranty
- Screen or battery replacements carried out by Fone4U or an authorised Fone4U repair
partner will not void the warranty
5. Proof of Purchase
A valid proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) is required for all warranty claims.
6. Warranty Assessment & Resolution
- All devices will be inspected and tested to confirm eligibility
- Where a covered fault is confirmed, Fone4U will attempt a repair first
- If repair is not possible, the device will be replaced with the same or an equivalent
model, subject to availability
7. Refunds and Store Credit
- No refunds are provided under this warranty
- Where replacement is not possible, a store voucher will be issued
8. Irish Consumer Law
Under Irish consumer law, consumers are entitled to goods that are as described, fit for
purpose, and of merchantable quality. Where a fault existed at the time of
sale, remedies may be available under law. This warranty operates in addition to those
rights.
9. General Conditions
- Warranty applies only to the original purchaser
- Warranty is non-transferable
- Fone4U reserves the right to refuse service where these terms are not met
