About this phone
Product details
Most phones look the same the moment you put a case on them—the Nothing Phone 2 doesn't. Its transparent back and signature Glyph Interface, a set of customisable LED light strips built right into the design, mean it's still instantly recognisable even mid-charge, mid-call, or just sitting face-down on a desk. It's a phone that's genuinely designed to look different, not just perform well.
That said, the performance is very much there too. A 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate makes everything from scrolling to gaming feel smooth and responsive, and at 1600 nits peak brightness, it stays easy to read even in direct sunlight. Underneath, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset handles everyday multitasking and more demanding apps and games without breaking a sweat.
The dual 50MP rear camera system—a wide sensor paired with an ultrawide that also handles macro shots—captures detailed photos in good light, with a 32MP front camera covering selfies and video calls. Nothing's clean, near-stock take on Android, layered on top with the Glyph Interface's app-specific lighting and notification cues, gives the whole experience a distinct personality most phones simply don't bother with.
A 4,700mAh battery comfortably covers a full day of typical use, and when it's time to top up, 45W wired charging gets you back to a high charge quickly, with 15W wireless charging also on hand for a more relaxed top-up. Built with a Gorilla Glass 5 front and back and an aluminum frame, it feels as premium as it looks, with IP54 splash and dust resistance for everyday peace of mind.
If you want flagship-level performance from a phone that still manages to stand out in a sea of near-identical black rectangles, the Nothing Phone 2 delivers exactly that—and you can get it from Fone4U with free shipping over €100 anywhere in Ireland, an 18-month warranty included as standard, and Humm finance available if you'd rather spread the cost over 12 months. Have an old iPhone or Samsung sitting unused? Bring it into any of our three stores in Ballina, Sligo, or Bray for an instant trade-in valuation, or order online at Fone4U.ie and get it at your door without leaving the house.
Frequently Asked Questions
It's the look and feel more than anything—that transparent back and the Glyph Interface really set it apart. Those are the customisable LED strips on the back that light up for calls, notifications, charging, and more. Under the hood, you're also getting solid power from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a lovely, smooth 120Hz OLED screen.
It's a set of LED strips built right into the transparent back of the phone. They light up in different patterns depending on what's happening—an incoming call, a notification, how far along your charge is, that sort of thing. You can customize a lot of it too, including which contacts or apps trigger which lights.
Really good, honestly. It's a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel that adapts up to 120Hz, with brightness peaking at 1600 nits. Scrolling feels smooth, animations are snappy, and it holds up well even outdoors in bright light.
Yes, it handles gaming well. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 gives you plenty of power for demanding titles and heavy multitasking, and paired with that adaptive 120Hz screen, everything feels fluid and responsive.
You get a dual 50MP setup on the back — a main camera plus an ultrawide that doubles up for macro shots — and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It's a versatile everyday setup that really shines when the lighting's good.
The 4,700mAh battery should comfortably get most people through a full day of normal use. Of course, how you use it — screen brightness, refresh rate, network signal — will move that number around a bit. And when it's time to charge, 45W wired charging gets you back up to speed quickly.
Yes — up to 15W wirelessly, or 45W if you plug in. There's also 5W reverse wireless charging, so you can use the phone itself to top up things like your wireless earbuds.
It's rated IP54, so it'll shrug off dust and the odd splash of water — light rain, that kind of thing. Just don't take it for a swim, since it's not built to handle full submersion.
It runs Nothing OS, which is built on Android but with Nothing's own design touches and the Glyph features layered in. Software and security updates follow Nothing's own support schedule.
It shipped in a few different configurations—either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and storage going up to 512GB. There's no microSD slot for expanding storage, so it's worth checking the listing carefully to make sure you're getting the configuration you actually want.
White or Dark Grey—both keep that signature transparent-style back and the Glyph lighting. Which one's actually available can come down to stock at the time.
Yes, along with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC—so you're well covered for fast, modern connectivity across the board.

Why it matters
Original parts vs cheap copies
Every part in this phone is its own original part. Nothing has been swapped for a cheap copy. Here’s why that matters.
Original partCheap copy part
Screen
True colours, full brightness and True Tone, with smooth, precise touch
Duller colours, lower brightness and often no True Tone. Touch can lag or miss
Battery
Full rated capacity, safety-tested, and Battery Health reads correctly
Often less real capacity, can run hot or swell, and Battery Health may show “Unknown” or “Service”
Cameras
Sharp focus, accurate colour, and Night mode and stabilisation work as designed
Softer photos, slow focus, and some camera features can stop working
Face ID & Touch ID
Works securely, exactly as the manufacturer intended
Can stop working completely, and copy parts can’t bring it back
Messages on your phone
No “Unknown Part” or “Non-genuine” warnings in Settings
iPhone can show an “Unknown Part” message that stays in Settings
Water & dust seals
Precise original fit and seals
Looser fit and weaker seals, so more likely to fail early
Resale value
Keeps its full trade-in and resale value
Worth less when you sell or trade it in, and some shops refuse it
Every Fone4U phone is tested in Ireland and covered by our warranty. If a part ever needs replacing, we only fit a genuine one.
