  • Call Hold Assist: Awaits on hold for you automatically until a human answers.
  • Spam Call Blocking: Improved spam filters to block unwanted calls and messages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Although iOS 26 is designed to be faster and more efficient, the lower-end iPhones around the cutoff (like iPhone 11 or SE 2nd Gen) will be slightly slower due to the high-end features. It's never a bad thing to double-check on your battery health and storage first or have a trade-in on a faster new model at Fone4U.ie.

Apple only typically allows downgrading within a short time period following the new update release. Downgrading from the developer or public beta, however, can prove to be tricky and may require erasing your device. Always back up your iPhone first before you install iOS 26 if you'd prefer to be able to revert.

Developer and public betas may include bugs, crashes of the app, and battery drain since they are not finalized releases. It's advisable to install the beta on a secondary device or wait for the public beta (which is more stable) instead of using it on your main phone.

Apple normally releases the big iOS updates in September when there is a new iPhone release. The stable version of iOS 26 should be out in Ireland in September 2025, with a public beta following in a few weeks.

Before you update:
  • Back up your iPhone from iCloud or your computer.
  • Be charged to at least 50% and have a solid Wi-Fi connection.
  • Check app compatibility.
  • Clear space for the update
