About this phone
Product details
The Samsung Galaxy A54 is Samsung's most refined mid-range phone from its 2023 lineup, and it shows. With a design lifted directly from Samsung's flagship S-series, IP67 water resistance, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and a 6.4" Super AMOLED display at 120Hz, the A54 5G gives you a near-premium experience at a mid-range price point. Available at Fone4U in Good condition, this is a compelling choice for anyone who wants a Samsung that looks and feels like a premium device without paying flagship prices.
The Exynos 1380 (5 nm) chip is very efficient in executing daily tasks like socializing, watching movies, navigating around, gaming, and doing other things that require multitasking ability. All these tasks will be handled smoothly due to the inclusion of 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity in the phone. The 5000mAh battery with a fast-charging rate of 25W ensures sufficient power throughout the day.
Photography is one area where the Galaxy A54 shines brightly in terms of its performance in relation to its cost. Using OIS, the main 50MP camera is able to click pictures without any shakiness even if it is done in the dark.
The 32MP selfie camera is one of the best front cameras in its class. The stereo speaker setup with tuned sound quality makes media consumption genuinely enjoyable. Combined with four years of Samsung software support (now running Android 16 / One UI 8), this is a phone that will remain current and supported for years to come.
"Good condition" at Fone4U means fully tested, perfectly functional, with possible light marks on the body. Screen is in excellent condition. 18-month Fone4U warranty. Available at fone4u.ie, Bray, Ballina, and Sligo.
Frequently Asked Questions
The A54 5G is far better than the A53 since it features improved aesthetics, a superior 50MP primary camera as compared to the 64MP, but without optical image stabilization on the A53, an enhanced Exynos 1380 processor, and stereo sound. While not quite as new as the A55, the A54 does offer the same capabilities, but at a more affordable refurbished cost at Fone4U. The A54 5G is what most people need in the Samsung A-series line-up.
Always-On Display (AOD) shows the time, date, notification icons, and a customizable design on the screen at all times without waking the full display. It consumes very little battery — typically around 1–2% per hour — and is a genuinely useful feature for checking the time or seeing notifications at a glance without picking up the phone.
The optical under-display fingerprint sensor on the A54 5G is reliable for everyday use. It is slightly slower than side-mounted sensors, but unlock times are generally under half a second. It works through most screen protectors. For the fastest biometric unlock, face unlock (which uses the front camera) is also available and very quick in good lighting.
Yes. The Galaxy A54 5G can record videos in 4K at 30fps using both the main camera and the front camera that boasts 32MP resolution. In most cases, videos recorded in full HD (1080p) at 60fps result in smooth playback and should be used regularly for social media posts.
Currently, the device has OS 16 (Android) and One UI 8 installed and will receive security updates for at least 5 years. It is quite an impressive guarantee provided by Samsung for a mid-range smartphone.
No. The Galaxy A54 5G does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Audio connections are via USB-C. Bluetooth headphones, USB-C earbuds, and a USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapter for wired earbuds are all supported. Bluetooth version 5.3 is compatible with newer audio codecs like AAC and SBC.
The low-light performance is notably superior when using the 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization as opposed to the A53’s 64MP non-OIS camera. OIS reduces camera shake blur, and the larger 1/1.56" sensor captures more light. Samsung's Night Mode processing further improves results in dark conditions. It is a genuinely capable camera for indoor, evening, and night shots at this price point.
Yes. The A54 5G includes NFC and is compatible with both Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Both work at all standard contactless terminals in Ireland. Simply add your bank card details to the respective app and hold the phone to the terminal to pay.
Absolutely, 128GB will provide enough space for thousands of pictures, hundreds of applications, music, and podcast files. If you shoot a lot of 4K videos or need to store many large files locally, then add microSD card storage (the Samsung A54 5G comes with its own microSD slot).
The Exynos 1380 copes easily with casual games and middle-tier games such as Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Genshin Impact. The 120 Hz screen gives you a more responsive gaming experience. It is not a dedicated gaming phone, but it performs better in games than many phones at this price.
Fone4U refurbished phones come with a USB-C charging cable. A wall plug charger is not included unless specifically stated in the product listing. A standard USB-C PD charger (25W or above) will charge the phone at full speed. Samsung chargers are widely available separately.
Yes. Every single phone that is being sold by Fone4U—be it in Good Condition – is tested for battery health. The battery health will be guaranteed to be at least 80% or above for a device rated Good. If your phone is Excellent/Grade A, it will have even better battery health. The 5,000 mAh battery of the A54 5G is good for an entire day's worth.

Why it matters
Original parts vs cheap copies
Every part in this phone is its own original part. Nothing has been swapped for a cheap copy. Here’s why that matters.
Original partCheap copy part
Screen
True colours, full brightness and True Tone, with smooth, precise touch
Duller colours, lower brightness and often no True Tone. Touch can lag or miss
Battery
Full rated capacity, safety-tested, and Battery Health reads correctly
Often less real capacity, can run hot or swell, and Battery Health may show “Unknown” or “Service”
Cameras
Sharp focus, accurate colour, and Night mode and stabilisation work as designed
Softer photos, slow focus, and some camera features can stop working
Face ID & Touch ID
Works securely, exactly as the manufacturer intended
Can stop working completely, and copy parts can’t bring it back
Messages on your phone
No “Unknown Part” or “Non-genuine” warnings in Settings
iPhone can show an “Unknown Part” message that stays in Settings
Water & dust seals
Precise original fit and seals
Looser fit and weaker seals, so more likely to fail early
Resale value
Keeps its full trade-in and resale value
Worth less when you sell or trade it in, and some shops refuse it
Every Fone4U phone is tested in Ireland and covered by our warranty. If a part ever needs replacing, we only fit a genuine one.
