About this phone
Product details
The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G takes the design language of the Galaxy S23 and puts it in an affordable body—with a flat-edge frame, a clean punch-hole display, and no camera bump ring, it simply looks more premium than phones at this price point should. Available in Excellent Grade A condition at Fone4U, this is a phone that consistently delivers on display quality, camera performance, and battery life without asking you to spend flagship money.
The 6.6" Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate achieves over 1000 nits of peak brightness—making the Galaxy A34 one of the brightest displays in its class and very comfortable to use in direct sunlight. The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor handles everything from social media and streaming to light gaming without stress. The smartphone has RAM of either 6GB or 8GB and memory extension of 128GB that allows it to be efficient.
With a 48MP camera on board, users can expect high-quality pictures with the usual color profile of Samsung products. The 8 MP ultrawide camera is an added advantage if one would like to take more versatile landscape pictures. With IP67 water resistance, you will not have to fear any rain or falling into water accidentally. In Grade A condition with an 18-month Fone4U warranty, this is a smart, confident purchase available online at fone4u.ie and in-store.
Frequently Asked Questions
The A54 5G is positioned above the A34 in Samsung's range. Key differences: the A54 has a higher-resolution 50MP camera with OIS (vs the A34's 48MP with OIS), a slightly smaller but brighter 6.4" display, a faster Exynos 1380 processor, and stereo speakers. The A34 has a slightly larger 6.6" screen, uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1080, and is available at a lower price. Both are excellent phones—the A34 is better value, and the A54 is slightly more capable.
Yes, as it is a 6 nm chipset that works almost like the Samsung Exynos 1280 chipset in terms of the A53 processor. Comparing this with the above one, it does not perform poorly in benchmarks. Moreover, this chipset is enough to use for daily activities, movie viewing, gaming, and so on.
No — the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Audio output is via USB-C or Bluetooth. A USB-C to 3.5mm adapter works with any standard wired earphones.
The A34 5G's Super AMOLED panel achieves over 1,000 nits of peak brightness—one of the standout features of this phone. In direct sunlight, the display remains clearly readable, which is noticeably better than many competing mid-range phones with lower brightness ceilings.
Yes. The Sony IMX582 48MP camera lens with optical image stabilization helps produce high-quality natural-looking photos in sufficient lighting. Optical image stabilization helps in preventing blurry photos when capturing images. The ability of Samsung's display to produce vivid colors makes pictures visually more attractive. This is a dependable camera that can be used on a daily basis for social media posting or portrait shooting.
The Galaxy A34 5G was released in March 2023 with Android 13 and runs on Android 16/One UI 8.5. It is assured to get four years of software updates, which will take you up to March 2027, plus five years of security updates (till 2028).
Yes. The A34 5G supports Always-On Display—showing the time, date, notification icons, and a personalized design on the screen at all times. It uses very little battery, typically 1–2% per hour.
Yes – The device is IP67 rated, meaning it can be submerged underwater for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 meter. It is splash-proof, rain-proof, and will not be damaged if you accidentally drop your phone into the sink.
Yes. It features Dual SIM (Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM). But please take note that the second SIM card slot is used for the microSD card as well, so you have the option of either dual SIM or microSD.
Yes—the combination of a bright 120Hz display, a 48MP OIS camera, a 13MP selfie camera, and 4K video recording makes the A34 5G well suited for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content. The Dimensity 1080 handles video editing apps smoothly at this resolution.
Grade A (Excellent) means the phone has been fully tested and verified to work perfectly in all functions. It may have very minor, barely visible cosmetic marks under close inspection—but the screen is in excellent condition, and the phone presents and performs as nearly new.

Why it matters
Original parts vs cheap copies
Every part in this phone is its own original part. Nothing has been swapped for a cheap copy. Here’s why that matters.
Original partCheap copy part
Screen
True colours, full brightness and True Tone, with smooth, precise touch
Duller colours, lower brightness and often no True Tone. Touch can lag or miss
Battery
Full rated capacity, safety-tested, and Battery Health reads correctly
Often less real capacity, can run hot or swell, and Battery Health may show “Unknown” or “Service”
Cameras
Sharp focus, accurate colour, and Night mode and stabilisation work as designed
Softer photos, slow focus, and some camera features can stop working
Face ID & Touch ID
Works securely, exactly as the manufacturer intended
Can stop working completely, and copy parts can’t bring it back
Messages on your phone
No “Unknown Part” or “Non-genuine” warnings in Settings
iPhone can show an “Unknown Part” message that stays in Settings
Water & dust seals
Precise original fit and seals
Looser fit and weaker seals, so more likely to fail early
Resale value
Keeps its full trade-in and resale value
Worth less when you sell or trade it in, and some shops refuse it
Every Fone4U phone is tested in Ireland and covered by our warranty. If a part ever needs replacing, we only fit a genuine one.
