About this phone
iPhone 12 Mini
The iPhone 12 Mini was Apple's answer to everyone who wanted a proper iPhone without the bulk of a modern flagship. At 5.4 inches, it's the smallest iPhone Apple has made in years, and the Super Retina XDR OLED display packed into that frame is genuinely sharp at 2340 × 1080 pixels—not a compromise screen, just a small one. It fits comfortably in one hand, slips into any pocket, and still runs on the same A14 Bionic chip that powered the iPhone 12 Pro at launch.
The dual 12MP camera system — a wide lens at f/1.6 and an ultrawide at 120° — captures clean, detailed photos in good light and handles low-light scenes well thanks to Night mode and Apple's Photonic Engine processing. Face ID handles unlocking reliably, Siri responds to voice without needing a tap, and iOS keeps itself updated automatically so you're always on the latest version without having to think about it.
Every refurbished iPhone 12 Mini from Fone4U is in Grade A condition, fully unlocked for any network in Ireland, and comes with an 18-month warranty, a USB cable, and a SIM pin opener. If the size is what you're looking for—something that actually fits a hand rather than demanding two—this is one of the best small iPhones ever made, and it's available from Fone4U at a price that reflects the refurbished market rather than what it cost when new.

Frequently Asked Questions
Face ID. The iPhone 12 Mini uses Face ID for unlocking and Apple Pay — there's no Touch ID fingerprint sensor on this model. Face ID works quickly and reliably even at an angle, and it functions in the dark since it uses infrared rather than visible light.
Yes. The 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is sharp at 476 ppi, produces deep blacks and vivid colours, and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It's genuinely one of the best small phone displays Apple has made — not a cut-down version of a larger screen, just a smaller one.
It's probably the best option available if screen size is the concern. At 131.5 × 64.2mm and 135g, it's light and narrow enough to use one-handed comfortably—something that's genuinely hard to say about most phones sold today.
The 2227mAh battery supports around 12–15 hours of typical use — lighter than the larger iPhone 12 models due to the smaller battery. For moderate daily use it covers a full day, though heavier users may need a top-up by evening.
Yes. Every refurbished iPhone 12 Mini from Fone4U comes with an 18-month warranty, which is six months longer than the standard 12-month cover most sellers offer. It also comes with a USB cable and a SIM pin opener.
Yes. Every refurbished iPhone 12 Mini from Fone4U is fully unlocked, meaning it works on all major Irish carriers, including Three, Vodafone, Eir, and Tesco Mobile, without any network restrictions.
Yes. The iPhone 12 Mini supports 5G connectivity, which was notable for a small phone at its price point. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
The iPhone 12 Mini was released in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Available storage options at Fone4U depend on current stock—check the product listing for what's in at the time you're buying.
Yes. The dual 12MP camera system — a wide at f/1.6 and an ultrawide at 120° — covers the vast majority of everyday shooting situations well. Night mode, Smart HDR 3, and Deep Fusion processing help it punch above its sensor size in low light.
The iPhone 12 Mini updates iOS automatically to the latest compatible version through Settings. It continues to receive major iOS updates well into the late 2020s, so you're not buying a phone that's been left behind on software.
Yes. The iPhone 12 Mini carries an IP68 rating, tested to handle submersion in up to 6 meters of water for 30 minutes under controlled conditions. It handles rain, splashes, and accidental drops in water without issue.
If a compact, genuinely pocketable iPhone with a quality OLED display, dual cameras, 5G, and Face ID is what you're after, the iPhone 12 Mini from Fone4U delivers all of that at a refurbished price—Grade A condition, 18-month warranty, fully unlocked, and tested before it ships. It's hard to find a smaller iPhone that does more.

Why it matters
Original parts vs cheap copies
Every part in this phone is its own original part. Nothing has been swapped for a cheap copy. Here’s why that matters.
Original partCheap copy part
Screen
True colours, full brightness and True Tone, with smooth, precise touch
Duller colours, lower brightness and often no True Tone. Touch can lag or miss
Battery
Full rated capacity, safety-tested, and Battery Health reads correctly
Often less real capacity, can run hot or swell, and Battery Health may show “Unknown” or “Service”
Cameras
Sharp focus, accurate colour, and Night mode and stabilisation work as designed
Softer photos, slow focus, and some camera features can stop working
Face ID & Touch ID
Works securely, exactly as the manufacturer intended
Can stop working completely, and copy parts can’t bring it back
Messages on your phone
No “Unknown Part” or “Non-genuine” warnings in Settings
iPhone can show an “Unknown Part” message that stays in Settings
Water & dust seals
Precise original fit and seals
Looser fit and weaker seals, so more likely to fail early
Resale value
Keeps its full trade-in and resale value
Worth less when you sell or trade it in, and some shops refuse it
Every Fone4U phone is tested in Ireland and covered by our warranty. If a part ever needs replacing, we only fit a genuine one.
