You don't have to pay for a phone all at once. At Fone4U you can spread the cost in three ways: the Christmas Club (reserve in store from €20, with no credit checks and no interest) or Humm or Klarna at the online checkout.
They work very differently. The Christmas Club lets you lock in today's price and pay whatever suits you, but you do it in store and collect once the phone is fully paid. Humm and Klarna are online payment options from outside companies, with their own approval process and terms. This guide explains each one so you can choose the right fit.
The Christmas Club: reserve from €20
The Christmas Club is run by Fone4U in the store. Here's how it works:
- Choose and reserve. Pick any phone in one of our shops and pay a deposit of €20 or more. We lock in the price and give you your Christmas Club receipt.
- Pay as you like. Pop in whenever suits you and pay any amount, by cash or card. Every payment gets a new printed receipt showing what's left.
- Collect before Christmas. Once it's fully paid, give us a week's notice and collect your phone, checked and ready, with its full warranty.
The rules are simple:
- Your price is locked from the day you reserve.
- There are no credit checks and no interest.
- The deposit is non-refundable because it secures the phone and the price.
- Deposits and payments are made in store only, not online.
- The last day to collect before Christmas is Tuesday, 23 December.
Humm and Klarna: pay at the online checkout
Humm and Klarna are available when you order on fone4u.ie. They are separate companies, so approval and terms are set by them, not by Fone4U. Before you choose either one, check these on the provider's own page:
- Whether they run a credit check
- Whether there is any interest or any fees
- How much each payment is and when it's due
- What happens if you miss a payment
We've written a separate guide on whether Humm is worth it and a step-by-step guide to buying an iPhone with Humm.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the Christmas Club if:
- You want to lock in a price now and pay at your own pace
- You'd rather not do a credit check or pay interest
- You're happy to visit a shop to pay
- You'll collect by 23 December
Choose Humm or Klarna if:
- You want to order online
- You want the phone straight away rather than waiting until it's paid off
- You're comfortable with the provider's terms and repayment schedule
Choose to pay in full if:
- You have the money, because it's the simplest option and there are no repayments to track
Whichever you pick, only commit to payments you can comfortably afford.
What a Christmas Club plan could look like
There's no fixed plan, so you choose your own amounts. As an example, if you reserve in the first week of November and finish paying by Tuesday, 16 December, that's about six weeks. Collecting needs a week's notice, so aim to finish paying by 16 December to collect on 23 December.
These figures are examples at current prices, not fixed payments:
| Phone | Price | Deposit | Left to pay | About per week over 6 weeks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 13 | €299.99 | €20 | €279.99 | €47 |
| iPhone 15 | €459.99 | €20 | €439.99 | €73 |
| iPhone 15 Pro | €579.99 | €20 | €559.99 | €93 |
Check the product page for the current price before you reserve. Browse the iPhone range or see all phones.
Common questions about warranty and returns
A phone you buy through any of these options has the same warranty as every other Fone4U phone, up to 18 months on refurbished phones. With the Christmas Club, the warranty starts the day you collect. For returns on online orders, see the returns policy.
